DFHGC Members and visiting pilots use the council car park to the rear of White Horse Wood and not the lane to take off. Access only exists from the Maidstone (South) bound side of the A249. if you are coming from Maidstone you will either have to drive along the Pilgrims Way to Hucking then over the top of the Downs, then 2 miles towards Maidstone on the A249 OR drive up the A249 past the show ground then take the Hucking U-turn some 2 miles further on,to return to the entrance to the car park opposite the show ground.Opening hours and charge details are below the map
NB.There is a height restriction barrier on the car park so any vehicles ie high top vans that are too tall there is a layby 200m past the car park entrance which may be used..

 

It is only a very short walk from the White Horse Wood car park to the site.Please do not park in the lane up to Thurnham and never - ever in any of the passing places, either adjacent to the footpath to take off or the other few passing places. This is essential as it will cause an obstruction to the local residents and the emergency services if should they need access to the properties or land along the lane.
